MCNAA PUBLISHED AND DISSEMINATED ITS LAST ISSUE OF TURTLETALK THIS PAST DECEMBER 2024

Several months after the Mass. Center for Native American Awareness was founded in 1989, we launched a quarterly newsletter called TurtleTalk mailing paper versions to our members for almost two decades then, more recently, disseminating the issue via e-mail.

The publication was a direct and effective channel for communicating with our members and the communities keeping them informed about our services, activities and events as well as news and information on Native happenings around us.

But now, 30+ years later, with the advent of Facebook, we find there is no longer a need for the publication because everything that we include in the newsletter is also posted immediately on our facebook page.

So that we don’t duplicate future efforts and expend numerous hours on the newsletter, we have decided it’s time for the quarterly publication to come to a close and we will no longer produce TurtleTalk in its current form. The October through December 2024 copy was the final issue.

But this will not be the end of us reporting and sharing news, events and activities with you about the organization. If you follow us on facebook, thank you…that will be a great way for you to keep up on our activities.

If you don’t subscribe to facebook, you will still be able to read about our adventures through periodic e-mail blurbs summarizing our activities.

If you don’t receive our e-mails, please send a request to mcnaa@aol.com and we will add you to the list so that you receive e-mail blurbs summarizing our activities. While the information will not be formatted and probably won’t have a lot of photos, it will keep you up-to-date on our undertakings. Thank you.
